The Faculty of Economics aims to help students develop social adaptability and high employability on the solid foundation of a basic knowledge in economics and management. Today, enterprises and government organizations are seeking independent and motivated people who detect and solve problems using their own ideas and creativity. Responding to such social demands, the Faculty of Economics established the "Department of Applied Economics" and the "Department of Applied Management" in 2006 for the purpose of not only helping students acquire knowledge, skills and licenses, but also to cultivate aggressive and self-motivated professionals.
The Department of Applied Economics is designed to create professionals who will have value in both private and public sectors. We are ready to support students individually in their career designing tasks by providing them with a broad knowledge of and a sharp insight into Economics.
Courses such as "Internship," "NPO Administration," "Venture Business," "Reading Economic Affairs in Newspapers," and "Theory of Regional Development" characterize the department. Other courses are offered for students interested in the acquisition of "financial planning" and "certified travel supervisor" licenses, as well as for "civil service" and "police officer" examinations. Our Career Filing System helps teachers give individual support to ALL students in order to instill self-motivation values.
The Department of Applied Management aims to cultivate professionalism in hopes of preparing students to become leaders in business who, with license acquisition, will be better prepared to engage in accounting, information, and marketing fields.
The courses in Applied Management include "Business Case Studies," "Business Strategy," "Business Operation Simulation," "Corporate Accounting Simulation," and "Business Game," to name a few. Courses are also offered to prepare the student for "book-keeping" and "data-processing" examinations, as well as for "tax accountant," "fundamental information technology engineer," and "retail management and merchandise coordinator" licenses. Small-group classes and our unique coaching methods make a high quality education possible.
