Messages from JLCC Students

Miss. Chin, Youun

I came from Fujian Province in China. I am a foreign student in JLCC at North Asia University. It has been four months since I entered this university. I am studying the Japanese language very hard to enter the university. It is boring to study in a classroom every day, so the school plans several events to help us enjoy each day. We visited a pre-school affiliated with NAU and spent a wonderful time there. The school invited us to a Christmas Party at the end of last December, and took us on a short trip to a mountain resort area where people enjoy skiing and hot springs.

Mr. Zhang, Yi

I came from Anhui Province, China last December to study Japanese; only four months have passed since then. It is my first experience to live alone in a foreign country, and I felt it was very difficult when I started to live here. But now I have gotten used to living in Akita. I have learned many things such as Japanese culture, economy, social affairs as well as Japanese manners and customs. I have been impressed by the teachers at the school. They have taught me how to live in Japan, how to study, and so forth. When I have the time I talk with my parents in China about life in Japan via the Internet. I don’t feel lonely now since I have some friends in the dormitory to play and associate with. I have learned both joyful and lonesome things while I have lived in Japan alone. I will do my best to believe in my future and myself.

Mr. Kim, Wooram

How do you do? My name is Kim, Wooram. I came from South Korea last April, 2008 to enter the Japanese Language and Culture Course(JLCC) at North Asia University in Akita. It has been very hard to get along in Japan because my Japanese language has been very poor. But after studying Japanese in JLCC for a year, my Japanese has become much better and I feel that my life in Akita is more enjoyable. My Japanese language is still not satisfactory, so I will do my best to study Japanese this year also.
